Carlos M. Jimenez is a Cinematographer based in Los Angeles, renowned for his exceptional work in capturing captivating visuals that bring stories to life. A recipient of a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College Chicago, Carlos honed his craft specializing in cinematography and lighting, laying the foundation for his career.

 

Carlos's passion for the art of filmmaking blossomed during his time serving as a US Marine, finding solace and inspiration while working part-time at a local movie theatre in Oceanside, California. This immersive experience provided him with a sanctuary from military life, igniting a deep-seated desire to delve into the world of storytelling through visuals.

Ascending the ranks, Carlos dedicated himself to understanding and mastering the intricacies of lighting as a Gaffer, earning a coveted membership in Local 728, the esteemed Hollywood Studio Electrical Lighting Technicians.

 

His tenure as a Gaffer saw him contribute his expertise to an array of projects, including short films, music videos, commercials, and feature-length films, imprinting his mark on each production with finesse.

 

Driven by an unyielding passion for cinematography, Carlos seamlessly transitioned into the role of a Cinematographer. His journey led him to craft visually striking commercials and garner accolades for his contributions to award-winning short and feature-length films.
